Okay, first my problem is I can't click on the buildings and see what they are? I've seen people do this when I click on a building nothing happens.

And I don't know how to get night mode.

First, are you selecting the "Query" tool...?

If you mean you want to view your city at night, then you need to select the "Night" view option in the God Mode tools...

Or you can select the lower button for Day/Night alternating views.
