Traffic Issues with Tram/GRL in Avenue

I have just implemented an Avenue TRAM system in my city. Ridership is great (in the thousands) but I now I have a new problem: For some reason ALL of the traffic that previosly used the avenue (except for some which park and ride at the tram stations) now turn off right before any station and continue on a sidestreet that parallels the avenue. At the next available turn after the station, the traffic natually heads back to the avenue, as mandated by my NAM controller. Now i have seroious traffic issues on that sidestreet, which serves a rather dense residential area, and no obvious way to deal with it. Is there something wrong with the tram station, or do I have to drag some network over the station, like with regular GLR stations?

These are the tram stations in use. All three exhibit this problem.

You might try running one-way roads throught the glr-in-avenue station tiles to create the paths (saving, exiting, and re-entering the game has the same effect). You could check the paths through the stations by using the "Drawpaths" cheat to see if the paths are there.

Also, goin to move this to the Modding - Transit Networks forum.

I tried the drawing one-way roads trick, but it only seems to work on the SFBT tram stop. I downloaded a few more of their tram stops and interestingly it works there too. However, it does not work with the Smails or the TSC stations; i just get the "Unsuitable Area" error.

Does it give high (10000+) capacities for GLR and AvGLR stations? I find that in my cities the stations tend to get used up very quickly.

It sure does. In fact, all of the high capacity versions of RTMT stations have capacities in excess of 10,000. RTMT is designed so that its stations never go over capacity before their containing networks.

Also, as I have pointed out in another thread, mass transit station capacities are actually at least four times higher than their stated capacities, and no service degradation at all occurs before this higher number is reached.

    A further note...

In response to citymaster's post, I tried out the TSC and Gshmail's Avenue stations. Both seem to not function completely. It seems riders can't "get on" trams. Traffic passes through, but no new el-rail riders are added at the stations. Traffic can exit the stations, however, being transferred to bus or pedestrian. Anyone else notice this (maybe it's just me)?

As Z mentioned, the RTMT lots can be used with those models and function fine.
