Very nice, just try to make it fit in with all the other SC4 buildings with the scale and everything.

    Okay, Fortune Cookie Corp. Is almost done, and I've started to work on Miyazaki Foundation.  Here is the model.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Miyazaki%20Foundation.bmp align=baseline>

    It still needs some work, especialy the roof, I still need to play around with the meshes.

    Here is the building in SC3K.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Craterville-Oct.%206,%201933-28619.jpg align=baseline>

    Once again, let me know where I can improve!

    Wow! The roof of my building needs more work than I remembered.  I guess I'm going to get back to work, the two smaller parts need to me more pointy and round at the ends, and the tips of the main roof need to pe pointy. And the roofs need to be arched more in their centers.

    Now thats feedback for you.
    (For me actually)

    Hey Scippy

    Great work, that is a beautiful model there, looks gorgeous. though i did find some areas(wich you probably already are aware of) that might be improvable, as its hard to explain in words i took the liberty of drawing a bit on your picture hope you dont mind ^^

    untitled13bv.gif
    Some simple explanations, the above circle: You can see into the building here, though i dont know if that can be seen from an sc4 angle, bit if it can, a solution should be thought of, otherwise, just leave it. The large circle, the egde of the building comes into the building and out again, should be quite a simple fix. the small ones, the glass apears to be at the same level as the beams, also a quickfix.

    With some nice textures im sure it will become very grand indeed.
    Oh, and the roof texture might be a tad to bright ingame.
    Hope you could draw some use of this ^^

    oh, and hows that Terminal Coming allong?

    Cheers

    Wow, that looks really good! I loved the Asian tileset in SC3k, it's all I used.

    Just a couple little points. Don't forget the windows in the roof, under that middle overhangey...thing. And the sign. Also the SC3k one looks like its roof has seams in it.

    All in all, for a first shot at it, it looks really similar to the original!

    I think the problem with making 2k/3k buildings in SC4 is that the current game is a lot more realistic in style, while the older games were cartoony and REALLY bright. Someone already made a Won Won Apartments landmark right when the BAT first came out. It was cool, but the neon pink and blue walls didn't go well with other buildings.

    Okay, all that remains to be done on Fortune Cookie Corp. is the details that give that boost of realism.

    Here is the building without it's base.  The base is not there, it's seperate, because otherwise the LODs would interfere with the props, which are still in production.  The final building will have the building, base and props combined in a lot, so sorry, no editing for you.

    So here is where I am with it.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Fortune%20Cookie%20Corp.%20(near%20completion).bmp align=baseline>

    And, by the way, the hole in the roof will not be there when the building is finished.

    Glenni, Glenni, poor disillusioned (did I spell that right?) Glenni...................it's not a texture, it's just red, I made a texture which I haven't applied yet, just to keep preview times short.  But it will come......I'm tweaking a picture of a cherry to get a shiny dark red.

    Fortune Cookie Corp. is nearly done, I expect to finish it tomorow and render it over the night.  It should be up on the STEX by Saturday if all goes well.

    The roof is almost done.  Apart from the grass and other landscaping, the roof is finished.
    <ahttp://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8238/fortunecookiecorproofnearcompl.png align=baseline>

    As for the wall texture, the cherry is not working out.  (Any supprises there?)

    Glenni, I was wondering what you would propose to do.  The more I look at it, the red I have looks fine.

    Let me know about the texture and other details.

    Regards,
    Scipio

    Scipio you need to consider, what would this building be made off? and then search for a texture that is similar in nature to that material.
