Offices not filling

For some reason, when I place office they are not filling. As a result I have no offices in my city. When I click on the status icon for offices it just says everything is fine. But they won't fill up! Any ideas?

Hello, do you mean they are not 'building'(growing), or they are building but no one is working in them?

Also have you checked the status info tabs on your other buildings in the city? It could be that offices are not required at the moment.

Also the offices requires business hotels to work - do you have enough hotels?

Really? Never had any trouble getting offices to work without any hotels in my city.

Im only playing solo though, cant speak for PO.

They are not growing. I can't get a single office to populate. They are massively in demand. With or without business hotels.

OK, then do you have the appropriate number of different types of workers for the offices? Or maybe it's a kind of bug if everything is fine in the status.

I've had this problem before but only with manufacturing and dirty industry. The ticker advice would suggest that

"you need more xxxxx in your city", so i would zone for it and nothing grew, v frustrating. 

Make sure you're not trading out all of your office resource too.

May I ask what the population is in the city?

65 k. I have no offices whatsoever. mainly farms with a very small amount of high-tech, and thats it.

there is a topic title in this forum ...CITIES XL MANUAL: how to play, general info... originated by member 'soltangris' that may give some clues to your problem. in an article explaining COMMERCE-offices, the writer notes that offices 'consume' business hotels and high-tech INDUSTRY (only medium and high density). He also notes in a separate article explaining INDUSTRY-farms, that farms produce 'food industry' which is further consumed by RETAIL. If your 'city' is mostly an agrarian economy, may be that you need to add some RETAIL (shops) and upgrade the high-tech industry to the medium or high density. This is purely speculation on my part but I  think the author's suggestion seems to be that there is a relationship (dependence ? effect ?) that each of the buildings have to each other. You may try to experiment and find which of the types of buildings are the right 'combination'. Still learning much of this myself and I constantly refer to posts of this experienced member (and others) for reference. Hope this is helpful.
