Nice airport. However, I think that the a340 lots have a little problem. specially with the markings. Airplane wings aren't supposed to pass beyond the lines in a gate. Anyway, other than that, I find everything else flawless.

I've already mentioned this issue to Josh6 in a PM, in which he agreed. However, he also stated that he made the lots out of personal preferences, which I fully respect. After all, it's not that difficult to re-lot the planes on a 747 gate..

 I really like your airport, by the way. The diagonal "holes" in your terminal building look sweet!

My airport...

Terminal Two has completed its renovation.

The interior was fully renovated to bring it up to modern standards. The historic lobby and check-in area is still there however the wings to the sides are no longer in use and have been replaced by the central terminal passage which is attached to 10 gates built in the 1960's. The gates were replaced in the renovation this year.

There is a drive through section at the front of the terminal inorder to quickly pick up arriving passengers and drop off departing passengers. The road can get quite congested in the morning.

The terminal is used for international flights of Ionic and Air Newport. Genavan uses the terminal as well as Geolines flights to Genava.

@giorgos69: Wow, that's an amazing airport! Great work! You obviously have airport skills, and that terminal building looks fantastic. I see some "issues", but the overall impression is very good.

Three pics from me. You've seen this before in the old thread, but lately the city council agreed to finance some minor improvements to the airport (Thank you, jeiman2008 and jim 546). The runway has been rebuilt, a new fuel depot is added and the taxiways have been improved. Also, a new seawall has been constructed. The old one had some nasty fences which the National Aviation Council didn't approve of..

I am afraid that this seawalls are too low to support high waves or even high tides. Everything else, great!

@giorgos69: First of all, the gates are too narrow for the larger planes. Some of the planes also seem to have gone too far when parking, and thus they have passed the passenger bridge. Finally, on the picture second from the bottom, there is an A-340 that I believe would have problems passing the hangars and the tower. But, by all means, I'm just picky. Your airport and your work is great! I particularly like the MD-11s.

@TekindusT: I agree.. It was the best solution as of date, though. What I really would like to do, is to raise the whole airport another 15m, but I didn't want to start that now..

I think I'll have to ask the city council to finance a revamp. Again..

Thanks for the tips, the closeness of the gates was somewhat intended as to allow for photos with as many airplanes lined at the gates as possible without looking overly unrealistic. Although I would like to maybe space the gates out in the future, this would take far too much effort now and I am more than happy with the aesthetics of my airport as it is!! Cheers.

How about using a breakwater?

It stops the much larger waves hitting the airport's seawall, and creates a small harbour area for local boats.  It also means you don't have to elevate that airport.

Hi,

I've got quite the extensive Airport plugin list in my plugins, however I need to find some documentation to find out what pieces are supposed to hook up with what, so that I know how to put them together to form a complete airport.  Is there such documentation for if it's in my plugin folder it would be impossible to find in the 3.89GB of plugins and assorted other "stuff".  Thanks
