Extented LHD Road Sign Set *ANY SUGGESTIONS*

Hello.

When I build roads or motorways in SC4, I like as much realism as possible. Browsing through the STEX, I noticed a large abundance of LHD signs. The best LHD sign pack by far in my opinion is MRTNRLN's British Sign Pack. However, most packs don't include signs for other road types, including toll routes and variable speed/message signs. A generic sign pack with a group of addons for different road types that can be optionally installed is widely missing in the SC4 world.

I have started a project that would hopefully have all the signs you'd ever need on your motorways or main roads. All signs will be RHW compatable. This thread is for any suggestions or features you'd like to see included in this set. Currently the following basic signs wil be included in the first version\edition:

  1. Exit signs. Simple signs that have an arrow pointing to the exit or a diagram of an exit.
  2. General infomation signs, e.g. distance to X and service station infomation.
  3. Overhead signs: Directions,Get in Lane etc.
  4. Roundabout/Intersection ahead infomation signs.
  5. Lane split\merge
I have already started some of the basic textures:

Extended Exit Sign           Compact Exit Sign

If you have any suggestions, ideas or requests please most them on this thread. Thank you.

Hey, I would definatly like too see some more british looking signs. I like where your going with this. Are you planning to create signs in blue/green/white as is standard here in the UK? Some white signs like those in british towns and cities would be great, with town centre/police station/town hall etc etc.

Yup, this set will include enough signs to make a SC4 road near identical to actual roads, including directional signs you'd find in a city! 19.gif

What about some danish signs, or a new and better pack of German federal road signs (the yellow signs)?

SuccySuccy:  Theres always room for improvement. If you have a good ideas, please post it. I'd like to hear what you'd like the project to be like. 2.gif

ImVhOzzi: The is going to be a set for LHD signs only. Sorry. However, if the project extends so much that there is a RHD version made, I guess I could include one or two Danish signs!

Well, on my travels around town today, I noticed the following signs are seen a lot but not in SC4:

Yard Markers - Countdowns on dual carriageways and motorways....300 yards...200 yards...100 yards

No entry signs - There are a lot of one way streets where I live and these things are everywhere!

Speed Limit Signs - 30, 40, 50, 60 and the all important National Speed Limit Sign

In addition to the above, I would also like to see some signs for both the elevated Maxis Highway and the Elevated RHW as great as MRTNRLN's British Sign Pack is, it does not feature and elevated signs.

Succysuccy please do not "bump" a thread. Posting comments such as the ones you are posthing do not contribuete to this topic at all. Posting mutiple times will not make the creator do things any faster.

There is also a double post rule on this site:

You may not post two times in a row. You have to wait until the creator decides to post, he will do so when he is ready and no amount of posting will make it happen any faster.
