Well, I kind of had been a member...until my short attention span fixed itself on another game. I think it was when Orange Box came out with its glorious TF2 and Portal. So while having an urge to get another game, I decided to check out some old favorites and booted up SC4 again. I forgot how awesome the game is.

Good to see that the enthusaism for SC4 is still alive. I'm quite surprised that "simcity 5," the simcity societies, didn't fare so well.

I guess while you're reading this re-intro, any of your favorite mods you recommend?

I remember trying out NAM, but it seemed so complex. Gah! Care to market it in layman's terms to me?

Welcome back!!!     I have recently returned to SC4 as well.  After reading the ~500 page strategy guide and seeing all the improvements NAM has made, I got to say that SimCity4:RushHour is the deepest game that I have ever played in my 20+ years of pc gaming.

simcity: societies shouldnt be called sc5... it is scs... most of us consider it a flop and doesnt deserve a number as no games like it came out before hand

I do remember seeing you around the forums a while back, so it's good to see you've returned!

I know you're not a newcomer, but maybe this thread will help you. I just recently updated the NAM section of the first post that links to the newly updated NAM May 2010. Hopefully that thread can pinpoint you in the right directions. The STEX is still an amazing source for all the best custom content, and especially this year - here has been some incredible talent in the uploads on the STEX.
