My downloads and plugins don't work

 every plugin/addon i've put it to my sc4 shows up in the menu's but when i build it, it appears a big brown parcel type arrangement, why??

Have you unzipped the files? Zipped files can be opened and read, but won't respond when merely referred to. And all you do in SC4 is refer to them.

It sounds like you might have the original version of SC4. You need Rush Hour or Deluxe to use most, if not all, the plugins.

Cobra: SC4 will acknowledge that the ZIP files exist, but it will not probe into the file itself. That includes menu exemplars and icons.

Brown boxes can also be caused by missing dependencies. Have you checked that you have all the needed dependencies for your plugins?
