well, i was thinking about cracking out the sim city 4 disc and starting some city journals, complete with video.

but im not sure if the recorder cheat works or not ( i wanted to know so i would know if i would need video recording software or not). so what does the recorder cheat specifically do? does it just take many snapshots or actually record in video mode?

also, does anyone know if the "SNOW" cheat actually works?

If you need a good recorder use fraps.. very good for screenshots and high quality video. Easy to use and easy to set up. I have a paid version but the trial works just as well. Good luck!

I don't lnow about the recorder, but it's probably best using special screenshot software. The snow cheat does work, but it looks fairly ugly, and is only at high elevations.

Don't know bout the recorder, but in order for snow to appear,1st make sure comps calendar is at December 25, 2nd Stop your sim city at December 25, and lastly make sure you have high elevation areas for it to appear (It's considered a easter).

Does Fraps really get good screenshots? Won't there be an FPS counter when you get the screenshot?

I do use the recorder because I don't have Gamecam or hypercam, but I sorta hate it because the photos take up a ton of space
