CAM questions

I've been playing SC4 for quite some time, but I am relatively new to this whole modding business. I've recently been cruising around the forums and have found this thing called the Colossus Addon Mod. I've read what they have on the sc4devotion forums but I'm still left with questions. I like building massive cities, so is this the mod for me? Also, what does it actually do? Does it work with some of the other things I've downloaded (i.e. simgoober's lots, etc...)?

I'd appreciate it if you could answer these questions for me, and maybe tell of your personal experience with the mod.
