Mass Transit - People Abandoning, Commute time Help

Hey guys.

I'm new to the website but i'm not too new to simcity 4 but regardless how hard Itry, people keep abandoning houses because the commute is too long.I tried almost everything ;p

• Trains
• Subways
• Bus
• Highway
• One way road
• Avenue

what am I doing wrong and how can domeone help me? By the way, it's when i use both the huge city and the medium city.

Also, I place rails for the trains but i don't see no trains or anything =/. Thanks for the help.

Later: I've downloaded NAM except i don't really know how to use it.. if someonee could give me some hints and tips that would be great.

Check the game setting which is in the tool bar when the game is running.

A few general things...

Be sure Sims have a way to get from residences to jobs, and back.

Use Mass Transit (bus, rail, subway) making sure there are stations at both departing locations and destinations.

Be sure Sims can get to and from the stations where thay need to go (bus stops or parking next them in some cases).

Use the Route Query or Traffic View Map to check for congested routes.

As for the NAM...

NAM requires either Deluxe or Rush Hour and the gane patch to function. If you downloaded the installer version, just click on the file and run the installer. Be sure to check the settings as it runs through the process. You might read threw these threads for more information:

In the first post i said why the train network i made wasn't running i.e i couldn't see any trains and i backed that up because none of the stations were used. please explain because i'm getting quite frustrated ;s

The only way you know if you have trains is to use the route query (alt-?) .. making the automata show is a different matter.. either settings or higher traffic volume
