I think this is some sort of bug... my tunnels keep disappearing for no reason and I cant easily restore them. Does anyone know what causes this?

Are you making any changes around the entrances that could cause terrain adjustments? Or are you reconciling the edges of your city tile - that will also make them 'disappear'? You probably can't rebuild them easily due to the development in the area (walls and roads in particular). You may need to demolish things around the entrance areas.

Is the connection point on the other side gone too? And were the tunnels there before you put down the road?

ok I figured it out... rain mod causes these areas and many others to be flooded... wipes out tunnels and a few seaport zones. No matter what size of rain you use.. the entire map gets hit. :< thx for the quick responses though.

Thank you. That's something I've never noticed. Guess I've never made it rain in a city with tunnels.

Edit: Seems to depend on the area that is being filled. Using small terrain depressions and working close in, adjusting the rain tool for only those areas, does not demolish existing structures. However, using the rain tool to cover larger areas does. For what it's worth.
