To all of those out there who are following my CJs i do promise to you that i will not be starting another one anytime soon at all. I was following up on on with the name of Sebastian Bay but i have found out that there is already a city named that here at simtropolis. I am also saving everything onto a zip drive now as well as to not lose anything again. With all of this said i just want to thank all of you out there who have been taking the time to look at my CJ and also those out there who are making simcity the game that it is. Thank you. Here are a few teasers of what i am promising you a CJ that will indeed be here for a while. If the terrain seems familiar it is the same region that thejerseydevil created edmonton on, however his is much more detailed than mine. I hope that you like it.

here is a park next to the river

here is the main entrence into the residential area (i do with that whoever makes this entrence would make an avenue one, it would gretly enhance its realism, i think)
<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//parkriver%20parkcentral%20entrence%20into%20main%20residential.jpg align=baseline>

here is an overview of what little i have done so far.
<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//parkriver%20parkcentral%20overview.jpg align=baseline>

here is a night overview... i love the lighting for the highway... and for some reason when placing the concrete walls next to the lowered highway they just did not look right to me. i am not sure if that is because the depth of the recession is not that great or what. so i went ahead and filled in the area with the seasonal trees. i do think that it might look better.... maybe not more realistic though...

Good start! Now you can add more details such as government building, more parks, and commercial centre - business district! Do you have any regional view?

    i will be doing an update most likely tonight or early tomorrow.

    quack: i am in the process of putting in all of the other developemnt right now. i am not wanting all that much industry at all so i am raising taxes on it so i will not have all that much. i am wanting Parkriver to be main residential and commercial.

    kmoh4346: i am putting in schools and stadiums for the schools right now... as far as parks go and government building i need to make a little more money per month to be able to afford it. but the will definaly be coming in the future.

    utora: thank you for your remarks...

    jacqulina: thank you for kind remarks as you always do.

    b3rglund: thank you. it takes a lot of time to do all of this and i am glad that someone does indeed apreciatte it. (by the way i am a really bad speller)

    Jerebannus XVI: thank you

    Compromise: thank you as well. i am not sure if you really did push the subscription button but it would make my day if you did.

    Traffic_Jam: thank you

    as always comments and suggestions are always welcome and appreciatted...

    Ahhh, just think of being there at night. Peace. Quiet. Harmony. Serenity. Tranquility. So many words to describe it. Just imaginge, hearing the soft gentle waves crashing upon the rigid seawall while listening to the tiniest of thoueth birds chirpeth through the night. Soft chanting, though quiet, peace raceth through thy mind......I'm beginning to sound like Shakespeare.28.gif

    Wow that's absolutely beautiful! I love the choice of trees, the use of embankments, and the entire transit set-up! Great work, hope for more updates soon!

    i am not quitting this cj by any means but i am starting over on the city itself. for some reason my transportation network is not working corectly. i have even put in bus stops and it is not working. they are just saying that it is too long of a comute. i am not sure why. for another reason, if i need another one, is that i am just not thinking that it is up to par. i will be putting in some for of mass transit. probably el train. i am not sure how i am going to put that it without messing up the terrain too much. i hope all of this works out. i will hopefully be posting later tonight.

    aleking: thank you for your comments. i will try an incorporate that into my new developement.

    quack: thank you. i do as well... i am not one to have a lot of crap all over the place just to have it. i am a minimilist in almost everything i do. you may or may not be able to see it here.

    gurrgkud: thank you. i have looked at your cj and i have to say that yours is defianly not bad at all. i do take little things here and there from probably every cj that i look at.

    slowhand: i am not sure if you are just crazy or what... hehe... you sound a lot like my friend that comes on every now and then and makes comments about my cities, however if you are being honest i am much ablidged.

    newyorkrunaway1: thank you as always. i think ever since i have started posting here on simtropolis you have noticed my work. (even though i have started like three differant cj's and can never seem to get one the way i like it.) i hope that i get the patience to do it thistime...that is the reason why i am just starting the city over instead of a new cj...and also because i told everyone out there that this one will be out there for a while.

    U.S.K.C.: thank you

    compromise: thank you for subscribing...that most defianlty make my day...

    Omiomitofu: i will show a regional transportation and birds eye view once i get everyhting the way i want it in this first city....but it is defianly coming up i promise you.

    thank you guys for commenting and i hope that there are more to come.

    i am just needing some help right now... i am basically wondering if i put bus stops within my subdivision to a el rain... will they take the el rail to the job.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Central%20Parkriver-Feb.%2010,%20001122338977%20copy.jpg align=baseline>

    white lines are the proposed el train.... the turqoise is where the station is located... should i put a parking lot there or a bus statrion and then have bus stations throughout my subdivisons... and i also want to make this as realistic as possible as well so if you guys out there could help me i would be much grateful... hope you guys can help...
    thanks

    I would put bus stops mostly on the outer part of the divisions or maybe a couple in the center depending on how big they are.. And parking lots near the el station since some people will drive there. Try that and see how things work.. If you don't like it then restart from where you saved.

    hello guys just wanting to show you a little teaser....

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Central%20Parkriver-Sep.%2012,%20021122353992%20copy.jpg align=baseline>

    gurrgkud: no problem

    misstonya: thank you

    quack: thanks i will see if that works... i am hoping that putting a bus station in front of the el train station...and then putting a few in the subdivision will work... i will probably be doing a little bit of a few things to see which one works...
