Trial City - Yellowstone

The city name after a real life vulcano called The Yellowstone Caldera.

My first official city that is used for the trial account and to test everything out.

Before Yellowstone

Last year I was a beta tester on Cities XL, I was selected to be one thanks to a German website I do not know the name of anymore. I was selected to see how it progressed and what kind of problems there were. I was even allowed to see the last seconds of the beta, what was really an awesome moment, to bad it was also full of lags. Since then I decided I wanted this game, but, not before I knew for sure it was worth it. € 40 and € 10 a month is not nothing. So I waited.

A week ago thought I saw a lot of journals and since then I decided to play Cities XL again, not the game, just a trial, anything was good enough actually. So, installed it (took 4 ours) and started to get playing, but actually I failed constantly. Mainly because Metis was a very expensive and dead planet, but also because I just sucked. So yeah, after 3 or 4 days I heard awesome news, that on the planet of Caliban, I could join and then get some help. So I went to Caliban and there it started.

Before I go further I first want to thank 2 people. Aelencia and Evergreen. They gave me the tokens I needed and helped me actually very well, with giving me information to. I think I people giving 5000 Euro tokens and all kinds of other tokens for 1C is actually gigantic awesome I think people should help them get even further and yeah give them a warm welcom to. Before I actually wanna talk, here are some pictures of my city

The story

The Beginning started with me trading 5000 tokens with Aelencia, with that money I could do a lot of stuff. So yeah, first build some stuff to trade with, around 20 farms, only had to use 5 to actually trade with him for that kind of money. I waited to get the money and then started to build. First I used small stuff, small roads and so on, but soon I saw traffic was getting overloaded, so I had to expand that. Also I had to build some resourches and some important services, also farms were needed to keep my city happy. Around 1 day or 2 days ago I also decided it was smarter to movie the whole industrial area to the other side. Actually it kept me from going to a negative income, but it also caused me to move a lot of stuff. Lucky, eventually everything went fine when I got the resourches and yeah. Also an important thing was that I was able to make a highway system, I loved that, it was one going around the mountain and within seconds it was already orange. Also a tunnel was needed and yeah, I had to make overpasses because there are no actual good ramps. It was fun as long as it lasted. And yeah. This was my last day. I will miss this game. But not for long I hope.

PS: Above you can see pictures,the first let you show the Commercial/Business and Residential part of my city, the other 2 let you see the industrial part, then another one like the first, then another one, then a shot from the beginning of the residential highway, then you see 2 traffic overviews. Not much I know.

I'll be back

Even if I suck at this whole game, even if it miss so much stuff, I will be back soon. In February I will be buying this game and maybe the PO. I will play it and hope it will all be fine. Got the money now so Me happy.
