Hello..

Blew of dust from my Simcity 4 deluxe cd's a few weeks ago.

I wow I can't even figure out why I stopped playing b4..

Anyway, I have played over 30 hours in 2 weeks now. Messing around starting up new regions etc.

Ive installed NAM, RHNAM, Hole digging tool.

And where I get lost is the BSC packs.. What to get ?

I downloaded a few here and there . Textures vol 1. Prop etc.. But game replied in crashing on regular basis. 15.gif

So im starting all over again from scratch , removing everything.

I got the NAM parts down.

But what Packs should I grab to my game from this awesome group BSC???

A list of packs to get would be super greatfull.

( P.S I have spent over 2,5 hours going over forum , files sites etc to try and find this kind of ***** guide  with no luck , hence my post here )

Any help is great.. In advance thanks..

Ok . So if no other pack is listed. ( ex : BSC texture Vol 1. ) I will get the benefits from this pack, and don't reqiuer others ?

I want all of the packs BSC can offer. So I will dig again . And see what to get ..

    Thanks for advice.

BSC Packs are usually only dependencies for other custom content lots on the exchanges. They are made up of textures and props. If you download a building from the STEX with a dependency, you have to download it, or the building may look distorted.

One question, do you have the NAM? Have you heard of it?

You should only download the packs that are needed for what you have. If you download unneded packs they will just slow down the game and add no benefit.

Now i have downloaded 169 files.Everything CAM releated. Clicking from dependencies here and there..

I'm currently at work so cant test em out now.

But as I saw on many of the files. Remove the following files b4 installing , etc etc.

So if I would like to install all this can I do it like this :

    1. Install SC4 deluxe.

    2. Update SC4 deluxe.

    3. Install NAM

    4. Install NAMRH

    5. Start installing every  CAM 169 zip files ( .exe , .dat , etc etc )

    6. Use Cleanitool to clean up ?

Im so excited to get home and try.. Downloaded to USB Storage device on work .. I used like 3 hours +   lol...

After the SC4 & Rush Hour install, make sure you have all the patches (2, available from SC4D, the STEX - check the Omnibus - and, of course, the Maxis site), then add then buildings as props update (same sources).

There is a list on SC4 Devotion, maintained, I believe, by Diggis, that least most of the BSC dependencies. In any case, they can be searched on the LEX (SC4D Exchange) by clicking on Power Search, then select  textures or props in one of the Lex Category list; or select BSC from the Creator list.

I've always recommended that NAM get's installed before anything else; then RHW if so inclined, and the 3RR rail add-ons; then any Mayor or terrain mods (check compatibility); finally CAM after everything (except CAM-enabled lots, these are the last on my list). CAM, at any rate, only kicks in once a city has really spread and buildings are reaching level 8 on the SC4 scale.

Not to put too much trumpet into this, but since you are (re-)starting out, why not get the DIC from the STEX, and get your downloads organized from the word go?
