help needed

 hi,

        how do i make a config bmp from a greyscale map .  i downloaded a region map i wanted to use but its just a greyscale pic  so when i load it its just flat green squares i checked the omni bus and there was 1 article but it didnt really tell me what i needed to know.  or is there an easier way to do this?

you need to make your own config.bmp for the grayscale. to make it the right size, subtract one from the number of pixels on the grayscale and then divide by 64. then each pixel represents one small city tile. color the tiles the way you want the cities arranged, red 255=small green 255=medium blue 255=large

grayscale to config.bmp ratio :
64:1 plus 1 pixel

Large city = 4x4 pixels  blue
Medium city = 2x2 pixels  green
Small city = 1x1 pixels  red
