OK, I have SCS, SimCity4, and SnapCity (just installed). I am trying to install SCS, but when I put the CD-ROM for SimCity Societies in my computer, nothing, not even an icon in the My Computer menu, came up, which, for me, stalls the game expirenece. Someone could help give advice for fixing the problem. I am planning on getting the game ready on Jan. 7 or later.

Try using the Run feature in the start menu. Pick the Disk driver and see what happens.

Try going to the start menu click on Run and go to E:\ setup.exe, or whatever letter your Cd rom drive is. Also what O.S do you have?

The game is a DVD-Rom your not by chance trying to run it in a CD Drive

are you :whatevs: ,as that would be good reason for it not to be read.

If you are trying it in a DVD drive:

Do you have another DVD Drive or another computer to try the disc in,

if so & it still don't read it then you may need to contact EA support if it's

under warranty they should be able to replace the game disc.

Or if the store will except opened returns bring it back for a replacement.

That looks like a CD drive, not a DVD drive. You need a drive at least capable of reading DVD-ROMs. If you really don't have a DVD drive in that system, then the computer must be many years old and unlikely to be able to run Simcity Societies properly, anyway.
