El-rail stops showing traffic patterns

Yesterday I bought sim city 4 deluxe, paying a few euros just for the nightlights. So I had to reinstall SC4, backing up all my thousands of plugins files, installed the legal version, installed the updates, and voilá, all my bats have nightlighting now.

No problems seemed to occur, but after a few virtual months the entire "above ground" section of my huge transit network, as well as my heavy rail network, didn't show up in the traffic overview map anymore, and all the GLR and el-rail stations, several kinds, dropped to 0% usage (with some population decrease as consequence).

I'm using the NAM for a while, always using the most recent version, but this appeared not as a "normal" problem to me. The downtown subway extension (underground section) of the network works normally, except for the decrease in usage because of the network failure. I tried to reinstall the NAM but this didn't work so far (I use the Z simulator, low or medium). I haven't installed any plugins that might be conflicting ever since, i'm afraid it has to do something with my new legal SimCity version, or it might be some periodical bug?? My "dead" network exists of GLR in road, on road, normal elevated rail, elevated rail above ground, all with their own stations (if someone thinks it is useful to describe which one exactly please ask me). I also used a lot of GLR-to-subway & El-rail-to-subway transitions. Can anyone please help me?

The problem you are having can be a result of mismatched game and NAM versions

There are two versions of SimCity 4 that you can buy Right-Hand or a Left-Hand Version ie what side of the road do your cars travel on, when you install the NAM you also have a choice to install LH or RH which has to match your game version

If you have a LH game and installed the RH NAM or vice versa you can get the problems you are describing.

A way to confirm this is to see weather cars can cross rail road crossings or if you can UDI a train. If that is the case just follow Cathy's instructions AND make sure you select all the options you had in the last installation otherwise you may end up loosing various items in your cities.

I never expected to buy a LH version in the Netherlands, thanks btw

Edit: I reinstalled the game, now in the Dutch language mode (it's the 2008 version so i can choose in which language I want to play) and the cars etc. are driving on the right side of the road now. So it should work now.
