How do you put the idems you download in the game?

Sorry I'm such an idiot but I want to know how you put the idems you download from the ST Exchange in the actual game. I want to build some huge cities.

Extract the dat file to: [user]\(My) Documents\Simcity 4\Plugins

Things will run more smoothly if you keep your plugins folder organized as well. You can do this however you please but a good way to organize is to have separate folders for each creator. Many of the files you download will do this automatically upon installation. Others will simply leave you with a number of files that you should organize yourself. This can really help as far as load time and game play is concerned. Just don't do what I did originally and throw everything in your plugins folder haphazardly.
