Here is a link to Bayfield, Ontario.  Bayfield is a nice little port on the West Coast of Ontario (Lake Huron) with several marinas and a Yacht Club in the estuary of the Bayfield River.  It is a pleasant tourist town in the summer and is some 20 Km south of Goderich, the largest port on Lake Huron.

In addition to Bayfield and Goderich, the suncoast includes Grand Bend, a large tourist destination.  Grand Bend will happily accept your money,, but I prefer my home town of Bayfield.

Highway 21 runs through the town, and if you follow it north, after Goderich, you soon find yourself on the Bruce Peninsula which is a wonderful area that terminates the Niagara Escarpment.  A great place for hiking.  From Tobermory at the head of the peninsula, you can take a car ferry to Manitoulin Island, which is a wonder place for hiking, rock climbing and camping.

If you continue north from Manitoulin, you will find yourself in the Canadian Shield country, the remaiins of the Laurentian mountain chain that has been thoroughly glaciated.  In this area are thousands of lakes and several towns along Highway 17 between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie.

So you can see, I live in the hub of vacationland in central Ontario.
