University issue

 Hello

When i ve been offered to, I did not build the university (too expensive at the time). Now that my city is much much bigger and beneficial, i d like to build it. Unfortunatelly, I cannot select it anymore in the toolbar, even if i meet all the requierements by far.

Is this a bug? Do you know how to fix that?

you could always try the "youdontdeserveit" cheat wich makes all of the rewards available.

Once you declined the reward, you prevented yourself from ever getting it again. Whenever you are prompted to accept a reward, accept it - you don't have to place it immediately. It only makes the reward available in the rewards menu, to place whenever you want.

??? I've never had any problem with declining a reward. Declining just means you don't want to build it now, it doesn't mean you can't build it ever. I mostly decline when they are first offered but build later.

I have had problems with the university though. The university does have specific criteria that can be difficult to maintain your city at if you are pursuing other goals as well. Your city may meet the criteria at a certain point and be offered the reward, but if you don't build it and your city slips below the threshold again the reward will then not be available later because your city no longer meets the criteria (especially easy to do if you have a lot of building projects and moving a lot of new uneducated sims in, thereby dropping your city's average EQ).

If you think its a bug (check the reward criteria against your city first to be sure), then just use the you don't deserve it cheat (I for one don't consider it cheating if a game bug has cheated me first and I'm just putting it right).

That happens now and then for a few rewards, especially if you delay very long... The university is one of the ones known to do it. Just use the youdon'tdeserveit cheat.. its not cheating since you've already earned it...
