NAM Tram crashes

the NAM is really great and i use the tram addon a lot, but the CTD problem is really bad! whats the best way to avoid it, because it seems completely random to me, and is there any patch / plan for a patch / anything i can do to prevent it happening again?

I thought they have it fixed in the June/July version of NAM. Do you have that version?

The crashing could be caused by having a NAM piece selected and then moving the cursor over a transit-enabled lot (such as a station). This is a know 'bug' with some pieces. The newest NAM did have modifications that decreased the likelihood of the crashes occurring, but did not totally alleviate the issue. The best way to avoid the issue is to work carefully, lay any transit networks before placing stations, and don't keep a piece selected after placing it.

thanks CaptCity, i knew about not moving certain peices over others, but my problem is the crashes seem to happen even when i dont do this, but only with maps with the tram system, is there any other reason it could be, or just another NAM bug?

Hmmm...

As far as I know and have experienced, there isn't any other known NAM bug that could cause crashes. How often are your crashes occuring? You might search through the forums for 'crashes'. I know there's been a lot of discussion about random crashes. You might also pay extra attention to what you might be doing at the time of the crashes to see if there is some pattern to them.
