I have loads of supply of water but how come I still have problems of water supply on some buildings. With SG's Water Control Board Lot, I have verified that I have a surplus of 40,000 gals of water. I will lose water on my city once I sell a portion of those surplus of water even if it just 10,000 gals. Can anyone help me out here? I have a mod installed that will increase the diameter of the pipes so that the flow of water to my city would be optimal.

There are a few things that can cause water usage to mess up

1. Your water could be polutted, use a water purifier to solve this

2. Water pumps get old and stop working with age. You might need to replce them

3. If the above two arent doing anything, then you need to replace your pipes,  they will get old and stop working with age. The pipe diamter mod cannot prevent this. Just drag over your old pipes to do this.

The cause is almost certainly because you have not connected the pipeline to the WCB porperly. Putting it on the "connector" is not enough... look at the "water overlay" view and run the pipe around under the WCB until you see the water appear. This is common in custom water lots

SimGoober recently updated the Water Control Board lot, found here.

Apparently the old lot was acting like a water source itself, causing the numbers of actual available water to be way off. Thus, the player believed that there was a large surplus when in fact it wasn't.

If you use the old version of the Water Control Board, I hope this helps you out.

Note: According to SG, you can actually use the water produced by the old Water Control Board simply by connecting it to pipes. Unless you consider it cheating.. 2.gif

The old one works fine too.. I was the one who pointed out the "peculiarity" in the lot, but there is certainly nothing wrong with it (the first one(

I still need help guys. I have installed the update to SG's water control board. I tried to checked if there are problems with water pollution. There are none of my pumps shut down due to water contamination. I do have the PEG's RTK water treatment plant. It's doing wonders for me. I did destroy all my pipes and layout new ones. I badly need help with those buildings abandoned due to lack of water. My current pollution is at 170k. I wanna heat the 200k plateau. Any suggestions i'll gladly take into consideration. I am way over my head on this for 2 weeks now.

Add water treatment plants until you see a negative slope on the "water pollution" graph and then play long enough for it to reduce it to or near zero.. and of course either develope your industry until you are into clean industry or if you want dirty plan on funding the water plants permanently

I have almost zero manufacturing industry. The dirty industry is at zero. Well I'll try out your idea SC4BOY. I mean your a Suburban Legend here in Simtropolis. I gotta trust your advice on this. It also makes a lot of sense anyway. Thanks man!

After the pollution is cleaned up you can delete some or all of the treatment plants. They do have a "radius effect" so you must place them in or near the pollution... forget the exact radius but I'd guess 30 tiles or so
