Can the Order of Lot Choices Be Influenced in the Game?

After a lot of downloading from Sim City 4 sources, I now have many lot options for inclusion into my cities -- but, at the moment, there isn't any "order" to the way in which they appear.  For instance, when I call up "Education" stuff to look at school choices, my high schools are "all over the place" with lots of other things in between.  I'd love to be able to scroll down the list to a place where ALL the high schools come up one after the other.  It would make choosing a particular high school so much easier.  Is there a way I can influence the order in which the game lists the available lots -- for any of the various categories?  I'm using Sim City 4 Deluxe/Rush Hour on a PC -- not a "gear-head" by any means, so please keep responses on the "late-toddler" level so I can understand.

Well, if you want to do a little reading and can use the Reader, it is possible to change the order of the menus. You can find a bit about it here and a bit more here. There is also an Omnibus article here. I've never tried to do it, so I can't say how easy or difficult it is to do. I'm also not sure if it's possible to re-arrange the default Maxis icons.
