Help a barely computer literate user!

Yes, I play MMOs, and post in forums eventhough my computer literacy is terrible.

Do I have to insert the disk every time I want to play?  It seems that the answer must be 'no' since you can download the game without a disk right?

How do I start the game without the disk inserted?

I went through whatever installation process and have multipe cities online, so what I'm doing is working but it would be nice to play without inserting and removing the disk every time.

LOok for the game icon in your game folder in the programs menu.

On Vista, the game launch shortcut didn't show up directly in my start menu... the start menu has a link to something called the Games Explorer, which opens a window (rather a popup sub-menu) and that's where I found the CitiesXL icon. I copied it from there into the start menu, and onto my desktop, to make it easier to get to it.
