Roads, Building Models and Text.

So, I reinstalled Simcity 4.

It's a good game and all, but there are some problems I'd like to address.

First and foremost, I cannot place roads.

I click the road menu, but the game crashes.

Second of all, I installed the supertower center.

It just shows up as a box.

Third of all, text in the menus doesn't show up.

If you could help me address these issues, it would be highly appreciated.

First of all, did you install any road transit related mods? If so, they require Deluxe/Rush Hour. Same goes with any other download here. Otherwise, I think it may be an uninstall-install cycle error. See below.

Second, that box shows that you are missing dependancies. Dependancies are files that other files rely on to work. Dependancies are listed on the download description and oftentimes linked to. Be sure to grab them if they are needed.

Third, sounds like an issue with the install.

Completely uninstall SC4 (except maybe the Regions folder and Albums)

Then, once its clean, reinstall SC4.
