Help with Environment Satisfaction

I have a few cities going, and the latest I've built really didn't build too much polluting objects/industries and I have people living far away from the radius of the pollution.

Yet environment satisfaction is very low. Is there another key to this puzzle I am missing? I have read parks don't really help. I just am trying hard to keep my classes in a satisfied "green" state but both executives and qualified have dropped to yellow.

Any tips/help would be hot. Thanks.

There are some things that make air pollution across the map so the edge doesn't help (there's a thread on air pollution worth a look).  There is noise pollution from things like the bowling alley and go-karts.  I believe roads also create both air and noise pollution.  I assume environmental satisfaction takes noise pollution into account?  I do not zone on major roads with heavy traffic. I try to zone in areas with the least traffic and exposure to pollution and put the 'woodland park' decoration between zones and roads.  I believe there's a 'white cloud' indicating area of effect when you place the park 'decorations.'  Landmarks can have a positive effect to I believe.  The one avatar park seems to have no effect on pollution, but it does appear to increase satisfaction.  Some pollution also appears to get stuck in valleys, so working with the topography might be usefull?

wooded park area does work towards "enviroment satisfaction", it doesn't "remove" polution however

The Environment satisfaction can be increased with building avatar parks, which produce nature.

For example: Build a Avatar Park and surround it by zones, the area of influence is not very big, but it might help.

Also, its better to import electrity and waste (if possible) because they cause air pollution over the complete map.

In Solo Mode, the cost of importing electricity 10.000 is the same as building a big one (also 10.000) so better import!

Thanks everyone for the tips! 4.gif

I'll try all of that. Of all the maps I've started, it's been environment satisfaction that eventually leads my citizens to dislike my city.

    Great Tips.

Im still convinced there's a bug in the pollution system.

Simply because the alert says pollution is killing everything - BUILD MORE PARKS!

Pollution is *KILLING* everything. It doesnt say "Satisfaction is lower - BUILD MORE PARKS"

So saying that building a park addresses pollution by increasing satisfaction - seems incorrect.

The game implies that Pollution is present, and Parks address its presence.

    Literally.

    But they don't.

Well, parks DO let people care abit less about pollution, but when pollution gets too high, theres no way anymore to counter it with parks. You want those messages to write exactly what to do? Like 'Pollution is killing everything -build more parks, except when its too high.... you have to get rid of the polluters -maybe import your tokens...'? Bit extensive, dont you think? 2.gif
