Black Screen

Pretty much as the topic says, about 15 minutes into the game, the game blacks out and my monitor goes into powersaving mode. I can still hear the music, I try to alt-tab the music disapears but the monitor remains black, and I can only reboot the system..

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 ghz

GeForce 9800 GX2

4 gb ram

If it got any relevance, the monitor is a Chimei CMV223D

Any help is appriciated.

I bought the game today. And I got the same problem.

Windows 7 rc 64 bit

Core i7 920 2.67 GHz

GeForce 9800 GX2

6 GB ram

When I tried to log in today I had this problem when the game went to the main menu. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the game. Works fine now. Give that a try.

I've tried that two times earlier today. Same problem after reinstall.

Both of you have a 9800GX2 (the first two posts), its your video card going bad. What brand is it? Google "black screen of death" and 9800GX2.
