Planning mode?

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I haven't bought Cities XL and can't remember from the demo...  Does the game have a "planning mode"? in other words, a mode where you can lay out, for example, a bridge, but not actually "buy" it until you exit the planning mode?  I seem to remeber that feature being discussed, but I'm not sure if it made it into the release.

Not in multiplayer but can't confirm about singleplayer.

Yes you can see how a bridge or street will be aligned before clicking again to complete it. It's part of the regular build tool. it will light up green or blue if it is valid.

Yes, I remember that... I was thinking more of a way to plan out a bridge plus the connecting roads, or the pattern of a subdivision, and then having it "execute".  Ah, well.

would be a nice feature, as it would stop us placing half of a road to find out it can't go on the way you planned 3.gif

I agree, and it would be more realistic to boot... it's not like a city starts building a bridge before they plan where the off ramp is going to go 5.gif

I like this idea, you could plan out a grid and see how much it will cost etc, before buying it.

I also like the idea of making completely circular roads, drawing them first, then placing them.
