Ever seen this before?

So i bought Cities XL, being psyched about it for a good while. I installed it with no issues, updated smoothly and log on to play...

Then when starting the tutorial, i get this:

Anyone seen this problem before? I've tried getting in touche with MC support, but that takes forever and a half...

EDIT: Thought i'd elaborate a bit... The problem is that instead of getting normal tutorial text like "Build a Road" i get "&TUTO_CO1_S02" and instead of a regular OK button, it says "&OK". Pretty much everything has an & infront of it and a crap text that makes it impossible to understand.

probably some files weren't installed correctly because I saw that tutorial and everything worked for me.

someone on this forum said choosing an language before installing would eliminate all gibberish text.
