Don't know about the rest of you but I get a bit bored using my own name or me when naming Mayors.

So here's a list of totally fictional names for you to use if you want:

Erving Hinkle, Jeap Bolensky, Stockton Nixon, Jules Rhizome, Edith Courtesy, Bea Molitor, Alexander Windsor, Gaz Rockland, Jane Owlets, Montoya Prom, Ralph Ganged, Destiny Holtzman, Madeiras Press, Edwin Buckle, Ruth Stokes, Hilda Picked, Times Slumlord, Billie Masuansky, Melville Poxing, Marinaro Plethora, Octo Bolero, Rosalie DeVecka, Lomborg Odball, October Aspegren, Ward Linkage, Tive Holleran, James Dotingly, Royce Fastem, Belville Grit, Conwell Most, Jets William, Curitiba Delhi, Lyn Auger, Chaffin Tatum, Willfredo Squander, Tyrol Walter, Glenesk Derna, Hapggod Banwer, Dusky Malibu, Margaret Vanes, Janis Guelzloffs, Habing Bridges, Gorizia Harazthy, Garrad Friday, Fendall Schupp, Miriam Gasander

I suppose it's quite possible that some of these names might actually exist in real life.

i have never really used anything but my own name, but nice list to see for those who may have trouble thinking of names when they have a different mayor for each of their tiles

I tend to play my regions in "clusters" of inter-related cities (such as like cities A,B,C are connected and trade with each other, but are not connected to D,E,F, who are interelated to each other only, etc).  So like I tend to pick comically stereotypical German names for the mayors of a particular cluster, French names for another cluster, ridiculously British names for another cluster, etc.  I also, and you may find this silly, re-name my mayors as time goes on to so and so the II, the III, the IV, kinda to show time passing, much like the "mysims" die and have their descendents succeed them.

I also have named my mayors after famous dictators, like Francois Duvalier (Haiti), Josef Stalin, Saddam Hussein, especially if I'm intentionally playing the city "bad."

Another thing you can do is name your mayors after the cast of your favorite TV shows.  Like I've had Mayors Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Mr. Mackey, Timmy!, etc.

I name my cities after processor codenames and then just name the mayor as its manufacturer (e.g. Intel Corp.)
