Improving graphics on a laptop

 I own a laptop, I know you can't change graphics cards.  Simcity 4 Rush Hour is painfully slow loading.

Display Device:

Mobile Intel ® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Driver:

igxprd32.dll

I have a lot (+1gig) of plugins, and to tell the truth the slowness is more in the loading of menus. Is there some way to make loading quicker? Visual options are all at the lowest. 

How would I go about updating this graphics driver, if it's possible on a laptop?

You'll need to register at SC4D to get the program. It's worth trying. It has sped up load times for me noticeably.

You should be able to find the latest driver at the laptop manufacturers web site.  Also at the Intel web site.

The video card would not have anything to do with the games load times, that would be the 1Gb of plugins you have.  If you use the "Datpacker", be sure to make a copy of the plugins before you use it.
