Demo Preorder Screen

Hello,

When playing the demo, i randomly get kicked off and put onto the 'Would you like to preorder' screen. This happens during play, as in building roads, houses etc.

All i can do i close the game and go directly to the Cities XL website.

Is there anyway to disable this?

I am guessing it is a timer device that once your account has reached a certain number of hours played they will limit your play time.

Good idea in theory but i intend to purchase the full version game. I had a few queries and emailed there sales help desk before i go ahead with my purcahse from the official site.

You're just hitting the demo population cap of ~22K, it kicks you out at that point.

They do this so you can only go so far in the demo, thus giving you an incentive to buy the game; rather than just play the demo for free.  I think they've done a pretty good job with leaving the demo rather wide-open for people to play around in.

Hint:  Only build the lowest density to make things last longer.

Yeah was guessing they did that.

Not a problem.

Don't forget that the Demo is a demo of the game + the features from the monthly subscription ($9.25 USD\Month).  I would buy the game, but I'm not willing to pay the monthly fee for all the features, and the game isn't as appealing with the features they've stripped out in the "offline" no subscription mode game.

I have been following the game for quite some time so will be giving the subscription a crack.

I am not totally against subscription services but they better make it worth while.
