Need train help!

Aight so first off, i'm using the basic simcity 4 RS traffic simulator. And i've got a problem... I have a train station going from one city of mine to the next and on both sides I have a dowloaded train station that allows 25,000 ppl on it. Well i'm up around 40,000 riding this train.

First question. 1. does the grand centeral station have more capacity?

2. Why on earth can't I unlock this station I have 190,000 people in my city, mayor rating of 100 and it wants a small station that is "near its capacity limit" well I have one that has around 6000 people going through it (when your only supposed to have 2000) and I still can't unlock this stupid grand centeral station.

3. and last question, can anyone recomend a HIGH capacity train station (not freight passenger) and I need to find some really HIGH capacity bus stops. I have 4 bus stops right outside of my big station and all 4 are at 600% limit....its crazy!....

Well im not sure about 1 or 3 (maybe someone who knows that STEX better do)

for two though, if you press Ctrl+x a cheat bar comes up. Type in "you don't deserve it" (without quotes) and that will unlock ALL items in the game.

This kind of overloading suggests that you may not have designed your transportation very well.. I'd suggest backing off and taking a careful review of what options and restrictions you have put in place to control traffic.. also you can avoid superloading of stations by putting them on "passenger pickup spurs" instead of slapping them on the main line, etc.. you'll learn various tricks for this as you progress.. The DELUX train station is bugged in the maxis code.. it requires 4000% for station load.. obviously not doable.. .. so either do the "frieght train tour" or just use the "you don't deserve it" to unlock it.. hardly cheating since its bugged.. And overloading isn't a disaster.. you can freely operate things at 400% overload with little real game impact.. So there are several things for you to think about..

It's got pretty much every rail station available. You can definitely get high capacity rail stations and all sorts of interchanges.

Have a look at the bullet train mod if that fits your city's style, it replaces the monorail and is great for long distance high speed rail travel.

I've never used Grand Central Station as it doesn't fit with my city but if I remember it needs several regular maxis rail stations to be built first. I might be wrong on that.

Well as far as my transportation system goes, I THINK it fairly well laid out. I have a standard road grid, with 2 larg highways running through the middle of the city, and then busses and subways covering the map and they all report back to my railway station, and from there it goes to the next door city, where all my sims work.

The only layup is the capacity of my rail station. And as far as "spur" lines. I find it far more realistic to have just 1 large station, I mean in real life if a city needs more airport room or somthing they upgrade the airport. there not like "lets put another one 30 miles this way"

Anyways but i'm open to ideas, i'm not totaly sure I understand the spur line...so if you want to give me any recomendations that would be great.

I found one station with capacity of 70,000 so i'll try and use that. (though I don't care for the style as much)

The capacity of the Grand Central Station is 10,000.  You can alter the capacity of the station with iLives Reader, or SC4Tools.

On easy level, the only way to get the station is by completing the U-D-I mission, or with the ctrl X cheat.

If you get the Functional Grand Central Station the capacity is 12,000 and it has jobs.

I've used it before. Its an early creation from years ago, so its possible that someone has improved it since then.
