Mhmmm ... man you are really a master (not only) in high density. Even (or maybe because of) no highway this looks really beautiful busy - I can almost hear the people rushing to and from the platform with the loudspeaker announcing something noone can understand ...

    Take care my friend!!!

    -memo-

so i have obviously been playing with photofilter thanks Bryan btw and have strayed
from usual design i will go back (but better) after further playing

I have also been jumping around and showing random pics but then again my whole cj
    is so scatter brained....45.gif47.gif

so what i'm getting at is would you A) like me to just keep posting pics with occaisional names
                                                       B) like me to explain my layouts in a more orderly manner

for now an extended period of exam based RLS 15.gif

I choose B. I would like to know why you do the things you do. It will show how much detail you put into every tile of your cities. Good luck with exams, I hope to see new updates soon!

Alek, first off beautiful pics my man.  I must admit that I have enjoyed watching your city building skills grow througout Brastoval Bay which I think is evidenced by how quickly it is growing these days.

I will echo jessyka said...I would like to choose B to see how and why you do things...

Good luck with those exams my friend.

Nice Scenic National Park, but: wehre are the Llama's??????????

I want to see the animals 9.gif.

    quote>

me too but Llamas could not handle the Brastoval Climate
I picture Bears, Mountain lions, elk, moose you know, but then again
the region is complete fantasy cause the beaches are tropical looking 47.gif

ALso thanks for the feedback Bryan and Dhop i'm gonna keep that in mind and try some
thing out so let me know what ya think later.

Also looking back at the comments, special thanks goes out to Hyped Up Boy and Nardo
for being such loyal posters thanks for following this cj for so long guys 1.gif

Sorry to hear about exams.I myself am switching schools this week and from what I've heard I'm going to one of those all gang member schools....lol lucky me...

Anyway it seems I haven't posted enough as I should.I have been rather sick, but everytime i see one of your updates I'm speachless.Your skill in terraforming is only matched by your perfect transit layouts.Wheater it be El rail or ground rail you make it fit in and work well for your cities.I love how you lay out your highways, but I'm also amazed by how you have rails going every which way.If its not the good balence of midrise and high rise its the great suburban areas you've made.

The natural elements in your C.J. can be seen almost in every city. The hills and the new mods really give it a spice like no other C.J. before it.I must say the ski area was trully inspirational and I love the name of the place. The national park was a bit of a surprise, but it is by far one of the best examples of a national park on ST.I too have a national park, but it isn't half as natural looking as yours.

Anyway going back to your question...I would have to say B because I'd like to get some insight on how you build the area.Is it terraformed then striaght to building?Or do you make a plan of what you want or are you the kinda guy that thinks for a second then goes to work?(example below)

Like Oh thats a good spot for a freeway....lets build!18.gif

Anyway enough chit chat you've done a perfect job making one of the best C.J.s to date and if that doesn't say it all then I don't know what will....

    Very nice.

That's been two stunning mosiacs in a very short period.  Glad to see you took some time away from studying for exams to post those.  (btw: good luck with those).  I kinda like option (a), you may bounce around a lot, but it adds a lot of variety and shows us when/where you get inspiration to do something.

Hey Alek. Your skills just keep getting better and better. I love the Japanese BAT's your using in many of your pics now. I believe it was the second picture I saw jeronij's walls had what appeared to be a winding staircase in it. Where did (how did) you get that? It really adds to the detail of the pic.44.gif

I'm still catching up on this CJ, but just wanted to say what a stunning job you are doing!  I'm not sure if I'm inspired to keep learning more & doing better with my cities, or just give up since they'll never look this good. 2.gif

    Two particular comments:

    1) Please go with option B, explaining why you do certain things.  Very educational for the rest of us (ok, at least for me).

    2) Thanks for the shots of your industrial areas.  A lot of the CJs I've seen so far tend to skip those in favor of the commercial and residential zone, so I appreciate any tips I find on how to better create industrial areas.

ok so i've read over the feedback concerning the layout of the cj
and i nearly all of you had said, B, which i kinda figured you would
but due to one, A, and my personal preference to bounce around
I have decided on the following system.

-I will continue to bounce around, look at this page it has a random island
a mountain canyon, a downtwon, and an industrial port, I just get cravings
to do different things all the time so deal with it.

-I will start taking more before/after and in-progress building pictures to show
where the construction is going on in the region, why, ect, instead of just showing
you pictures and not relating them to anything in the region.

Attached below:  This is a large region pic with the location of the stuff on this page marked
as a side note i plan on adding more islands as they look cool and are fun to
do, but i i think i will keep them largely wilderness

The area areound the oil refinery will be heavily developed in industry, mostly
manufacturing as i feel high tech looks a little silly, but i do use a few high
tech ind lots, also the farms just to the north will be blended south into the
                             manufacturing area

The new city will developed very similar to my others with a modest CBD and
lots of suburbs , i will have lots of rail access given the high number of lines
that pass through the city heading south out of the oil refinery as a main
source of jobs for the city who work outside the CBD

And as far as the national park is concerned i love it and will add countless
others as i have soooo much space in those mountains and lots of cool areas
that i have yet to show in that area so new updates to that will be shown when
                            ever i get the urge.

Very nice.  Between the oil refinery and the regional shot, I'm lost for words.

    Thanks for sharing.
