I can't help but think that if I grew up in Pittsburgh, I either utterly wouldn't give a damn about MLB, or I would be a fan of some other team. No fun in rooting for a team that never wins.

Hell, the fact that the Yankees are more successful than the Giants is probably the single largest reason why I care more about baseball than about football.

8354 - 2kGames released a patch earlier today for Civ V. It fixed "numerous misc crashes", haven't had a crash since patching it. If they include some stuff that is missing (maybe as mods, patches or expansions) this game will really be one of the best games you can get.

I wasen't even old enough to really follow baseball when the rays started. I wanna be able to see a new team play i wonder if we can get 2 more they are planing to expand the post season so why not add 2 more teams too?

MLB isn't going to be expanding again in the foreseeable future, certainly not with the economy the way it is. And let's not forget that a few years ago they were actually talking about getting rid of a couple teams.

Bah. You can't artificially create beauty. Imperfections are what give people character. Trying to make yourself look perfect only ends up making you look fake. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having your teeth a little crooked - using braces to straighten them out is just mindless vanity.

I only have mine corrected because my teeth were spreading outwards, and thus I had a pretty large overbite. I still have an overbite now, but I no longer have gaps between my teeth (I could stick the prong of a fork between my front two before I had braces).

Of course, occasionally you will get someone whose teeth are so out of whack that it poses a functional problem. Then getting braces is understandable.

My teeth were like that, especially my canine teeth were growing more forward then downward. A friend of the family (mom's friends husband) had a third front tooth grow in between his front two. They pulled that one out and he got braces to fix up the mess it created by growing there. (Of course, I wasn't alive when that happened, I just randomly remembered the story.)
