I've always felt that once someone uses an avatar, it essentially belongs to them, and for anyone else to subsequently use it is utterly disrespectful, besides being confusing.

So, yeah, if anyone is getting any ideas about pilfering one of my old avatars... don't.

Well yes, but when you do a google search with safesearch off (safesearch tends to omit things that aren't inappropriate) and go about 80 pages in, I can tell you not only are you going to see some strange stuff, and I STILL couldn't find any good ones. Tried Photobucket, Zelgadis, Chptrk, and DeviantArt as well.

And I still don't get where you get all of them, Mike!!!

I don't know what to put here anymore.

6641, thefunktopus, you may want to look on the previous page for some good Top Gear videos, the best bus one, vw commercial, and the level crossing one.

It sure is hot today.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

Ilikeseattle: I wish I could say the same about here - it's only about 292.9 Kelvin.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Apparently, it reached 103 degrees in New York City yesterday. Pretty hot up here in Connecticut, too. The thermometer on my car hit 100 as I was driving my sister to the post office.

All Fahrenheit, of course. 2.gif

(103 °F = 39.4 °C = 312.6 K)

Duke87: That's not too far out of the ordinary here, but I'm not sure what ordinary is in New York. I do remember something about it getting hot in The Great Gatsby.

I can't draw hair. Well, sometimes I can, but nothing too complex. Most other things I'm reasonably OK at.

Triple-digit temperatures in New York are unusual but not unheard of. To quote Wikipedia:

temperatures exceed 90 °F (32 °C) on average of 16 – 19 days each summer and can exceed 100 °F (38 °C) every 4–6 years.quote>

The record high is 106.
