Well, since we've grown fond of the :hmm: smiley, here's a little history for ya...

The original version of this smiley from 2003 looked quite different from the current one:

So diferent, in fact, that it conveys a rather different message and you may still see me use it on occasion!

Then, when all the smilies were redone in March of 2004 (in the upgrade to what I've always dubbed "ST 3.1"), it looked like this:

The eyelids seemed a bit awkward, so a bit later it was revised to its current form:

Look closely and you'll notice that the mouth also lost a pixel.

I have in the past used the wayback machine to go and grab old things (though it looks like I may never be able to do that again, unless dirk does something about it).

The old smilies, however, I have not thanks to that but thanks to the fact that I saved them waay back when they were still in use.

I am excited, as the Deftones have anounced that their new album, Diamond Eyes will be released 3 months from today, on the 18th of May! The first single will be available for free download on the 23rd of this month. Sadly, their bass player remains in a coma, as he has been since November of 2008 due to a car accident.

I saw Quicksand open for the Deftones once, they aren't too bad.

While searching for that information I discovered that Chi (the Deftones' bass player) is awake... in a sense. His eyes are open but he is unable to communicate.
