I access the internet with a computer. I don't have the internet on my phone.

The necessity of having access to my hard drive in order to be able to upload and download things generally prohibits me from doing most of the things I do online from any computer other than my own. So, no, I have never been on Simtropolis at school, in class, or at work and most likely never will be. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times I've logged in here from a computer that wasn't mine: three. Once was the day after Thanksgiving 2004, at a hotel that only had internet access available on a couple of computers in the lobby (wi-fi was not quite so commonplace in those days, and I did not have a laptop then besides). The other two times were in the spring of 2008 in the computer lab at college, each when for whatever reason ST would not load on my own computer for a week at a time.

I wish I could place more Token Multiplier buildings (that I earned) in my cities.

@Duke: Yes, I connect to ST very often at scool, especially then when a teacher does not appear or during the (unneccesary) ethics lessions.

I learned ethics for doing psychology research from my teacher this year. And life ethics from various people, parents, teachers, my own thoughts, etc..

I do not listen to ethics lectures. They are often wrong.

Well, this is the first I've ever heard of the idea. I never got any "ethics lessons" in school... and I must say, the idea is rather creepy. What parent would want the school system teaching their kids stuff like that?

I can't speak for the rest of them, but the ethics I got from school was probably because I went to a Catholic school from preschool to 5th grade. And what I got from there is probably what keeps me from ever agreeing with those crazy, right-wing social ideas.

Last movie I saw in theaters was Toy Story 3.

I don't go to the movies often. Tickets are overpriced, and with movies coming out on DVD fairly quickly after their theater release these days, there's really no good reason not to just wait and then rent it in most cases.

I wonder why custom maps do not work in Cities XL 2011.

LOL, I am a Bureaucrat. Posting in the Social Forum sure raised my post count.

We had ethics, but I can't really remember much of it. I know I got an A for arguing that homosexuality isn't immoral. Considering this was in a Catholic school... 9.gif

Of course, my school seems like it was rather more liberal than the stereotypical Catholic school.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I really wish I could vote this election. Illinois is on the verge of totally becoming screwed up and there's nothing I can do about it...really sucks.

Oh, and Astro, Catholic's (from stuff I've seen) seem to be more liberal (compared to protestants) because of social justice type issues. Yay us!

Ah, so these are the midterm elections. Interesting. May the best candidates win, and by best I mean the centre-left ones. 3.gif

Although your centre-left is different to ours, apparently... anyway, good luck to the candidates.

Attack ads aren't really that prevalent here, although I don't usually watch much commercial television, and I'm not quite sure how many there are in both countries. I suppose only having a month of campaigning helps in part. There really isn't enough time to start attacking your opponent to any serious degree.

PFB alert!

As a general trend, yes - but this is a source of controversy, due to some key inconsistencies between liberal philosophy and church teachings (most notably on gay marriage and abortion, also on the role of religion in society).

There are plenty of liberal catholics out there, but the more devout catholics all lean right.

Well, I've got my list made up. This year I will be voting for six Republicans, three Democrats, two Libertarians, and two Independents.

I am displeased, however, at the fact that information as to what referenda will be on the ballot seems to be unavailable. Looks like I may be making those decisions on the fly, if there are any.
