Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots Bug/Issue

Hi guys

not sure if this is the right place to be posting and I certainly didn't want to make this my first post (I planned to try to collate all my questions about mods and sim city 4 before posting but this one became quite urgent)

Basically I downloaded Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots and I've been using them to make canals and straight coasts however I've noticed that sometimes after I use some of them and try to demolish them they won't demolish. They have a "no-power" sign on top of them and don't behave like objects. They can't be built on, removed, destroyed with terrain modifications or anything.

It's like they're just stuck there and you can't do anything about it. I tried removing the mod but it didn't get rid of them.

Can someone tell me how to get rid of these digging lots?

Thank you

that's the"immortal lots" bug, which can occur on any lot, not just the hole-diggers. SOP to get rid of them is to plop the same lot on all sides and then bulldoze the whole thing. If that doesn't work, plop an even bigger lot on top of it--anything at all--then bulldoze that. If that doesn't work, then lay down a network of roads or avenues in a lattice, completely touching with no empty tiles, then bulldoze that mess. When you bulldoze, do a right-click zone sweep to get the whole area at one go. It should work. Should.

shouldn't ever happen with the hole-diggers.. unless you've done something VERY odd with em.. they won't place by lots without destroying them, and after they "pop" they would wipe anything beside it.. something different I expect, but i don't k now whet.. you'd have to post pic's and let us see what's really going on

I am having a problem,

I put the hole diggers where the ends of the tunnel would be.

I drag the road away from the tunnel, bulldoze the hole diggers...

but the tunnel does not appear, it's just a flat road that doesn't go underground.

Help please???

Please look in the tutorials in the Omnibus.. this is demonstrated several times and different ways... they even are posted on YouTube ...search "SC4"

I recently downloaded the hole diggers and now my game won't even start. (simcity 4 opens but crashes when it gets to the EA logo.) I've uninstalled and reinstalled simcity but that makes no difference. What should I do????

Take them out and see what happens! I seriously doubt this is an issue at all.. those lots are pushing a DECADE old without problems, so I'd look elsewhere for your issue.

Move all plugins out of the plugin folder, then move then back in one-by-one. If simcity does work before putting a certain plugin in the folder, but doesn"t work after putting it in, it will most likely be that one plugin that causes SC4 not to work probably.
