Chechnya II: The Rise of a Republic, is the story of one of the most oppressed and embattled peoples on Earth rebuilding their devastated nation after the bloody and under-reported Russo Chechen Wars. Disclaimer: This story is purely fictional and not intended to defame any government party/entity or insult poeples of certain backgrounds. Inspired by events presently ongoing in Chechnya. The story begins present day with the fictional end of the current Russo-Chechen War.

 

I will begin with a brief history. There were two wars. The first of which began in 1994 and ended in 1996 With a peace treaty in 1997.

Shamil Basayev, Commander of the Chechen Armed Forces in 1996, invaded Degestan in 1999 without consent of higher authority. This sparked the Second Chechen War which continous to this day.---------This is where the story begins.

 

Prologue

 

    On March 18th 2011, the World Health Organization together with other international news agencies published documents explaining in detail atrosities and war crimes committed by the Russian government in the troubled region of Chechnya. The appearance of these documents incited international outrage leading to UN, US, EU, and MEA (Middle-Eastern Alliance) demands for Russia to end its occupation of Chechnya. Moscow resisted the demands publishing an independent set of false documents contrasting the original documents.

    Tensions rose further as Hydrogen Bomb and various other research facilities in occupied territory were photographed via spy satelllites. This was a major break in the 2007 World Peace Treaty signed in Paris, France. Now Russian President Yuri Alaksander was begginning to feel the heat. Trade with Russia ceased and its tremendous oil reserves helped little due to the worlds shift to hydrogen and hybrid powered vehicles and gas/electric heating.

    To make the situation worse, due to public focus on Russia, organized terrorists and anarchists began committing crimes around the world and claiming themselves agents of the Russian government in an attempt at inciting a war. Sadly...another large-scale war began to come to life; the UN (now taking charge of dealing with the situation) issued a deadline against Russia to pull out and hand over all military hardware and cease/destroy all military developement. The small country of Chechnya (an area smaller than NewJersey) was about to become the site of the beggining of WW3.

    Thankfully it did not escalate as far as it could have gone. An international coalition of troops arrived in Grozny International Airport and World Peace activists flooded airports and streets in Moscow. Just as Yuri was about to submit in order to prevent the invasion of his country, an anarchist blew off a bomb which destroyed the midsection of a C5 troop transport plane. Fighting immediatly ensued. A fullscale war was being waged in the ravaged land of Chechnya. Battles were fought in the bombed out Chechen cities. Mass graves of genocides and other evidence of warcrimes were uncovered as the UN Coalition advanced toward the border. The Russian 476th retreated to the border in order to link up with fresh troops flown in from Moscow in order to create an effective deffensive blockade....The war would continue far another 7 months until the true culprits of the bombing were accidently discovered by two farmers in Kentcky.

    By this time the UN Coalition had advanced up to the 53

Being Russian i hope this comes out in our favour. Are the Chinese helping Russia? and how did the Chinese territory get all the way out to Chechnya

Hey thanks for the feedback guys, I wasnt sure how this would be recieved.

And sovietpower, being a Chechen myself, I can't guarrantee anything,  but to make the story interesting I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. And as for Chinas odd landclaim in region, that will be uncovered later as the story progresses.

City Update

 

In the next 5 months the town of NoviGhaalin would change quickly.

 

With a new generation rising and a strong educational system the citizens of NoviGhaalin learned to use their most abundant recource: water (they live on an island) to put a stop to the food shortages. With the new hydroponics facility at the edge of town no more babies will cry of hunger.

 

The War memorial and cemetary is now complete as the city is able to create a revenue:

 

Even better, what was once slums has become prime realestate

 

 

 

 

The best way to be succesful in the modern world today is to be educated. So to make sure NoviGhaalin's young men/women do study for their exams is to out an example just across the road...it's a wonder why anyone hasn't thought of putting a city jail infront of a college before!

 

With the use of some terreforming (GodMode Cheat), the coast has been made regular enough for use of beaches. You can also see how the city has grown to a healthy 36,037 populous. The budget now is balanced with a surpluss of $4,000,000 a month. This money has allowed for an enhanced standard of life in this once small town. It is comming time for our Chechen community to spread west-ward across their island...

 

And finally, with the edition of a new town hall, NoviGhaalin has become a more efficient governing macine.

 

Thats the update for today. Ill get another one up soon with an update to the story... I know it may seem boring now, but this Cj is off to a slow but deliberate start. Trust me, by the time this takes off you won't want to miss another episode in this saga.

Ok, after I get done with developement on the island I'm going to Begin another section on terreforming and city-planning. I have around a hundred or a little less then that number of cities to terreform in order to complete the Yvirian Mountain Range. And after that I have 3 Major cities to plan out and build, so I'm going to have to ask for your help with suggestions and critisicm and such. The terreforming and building portion of this CJ is going to take up a considerable amount of time and I suspect I will be well into the school year by the time it is finished. Durring that time I'll give Novighallin some touch ups and I will finally have time to plan out what will happen next in the story because as of now I am only wingin' it. So after the next few updates don't be surprised if this CJ starts to look a little like MrCinatits lol .. and now, I'll get to Ureaya, the next and last district in the City of Novighallin. (btw it is pronounced Novi-ghaauhhl)

Nice update but I must say I do not like the way you have tiled the clifs, it is a bit to much white. The cliffs themselves looked a lot better.
