Transferring Plugins PC -->Mac

I will shortly be switching from my PC to a mac and would quite like to continue playing SC4 without downloading my 2GB's worth of plugins. Would they still work on the mac if I simply copy the files straight from the PC to the mac's plugin folder? Would the more complex mods such as the NAM and RTMT cause problems? I understand that I'd need to buy a mac version of the game as well.

thanks,

Please remember that, even though all of the buildings will work, night lighting won't work, and if you have things like trainstations, some of the capacities will be wrong. But this is just a problem that all mac users have and it is very hard to eliminate.

I just bought a new Intel based iMac this weekend, and after doing some research, i would highly recommend that you DO NOT waste your money on the Sim City 4 Mac version.  It will not work on the newer platform, and is based on the older mac OS.  I am installing xp on mac using boot camp application, which partitions your hard drive for windows.  U can run sim city 4 that way thru windows when you want to play it. Im told it works very nicely. Hope you get this in timne, the game is $50+ and a total waste of $$!!

SimCity 4 works just fine on an Intel Mac, regardless of wheather you do the Universal Binary upgrade or not.  The only problem with the UB version is the paths show up differently when tracking sims.  The game is very much worth the cost, but I would suggest looking for it on ebay, and it is NOT worth using Boot Camp or one of the other ways to run Windows, just to play a game.
