Transferring Files

Hey, brand new Mac user here. I've just acquired a copy of Sim City 4 Deluxe for Mac and I'm wondering if I can simply copy/paste my old plugins folder on my old Windows to the new Mac on a flash drive. Will there be any compatibility issues? I've already downloaded a separate copy of the NAM for obvious reasons, but than that is there anything I should know about?

There should be little issues in just moving the contents of your plugin's and regions folders over to the corresponding location for your Mac (in the "documents" folder, though I have just been putting plugins into the plugins folder in the program folder since it is quicker to get too). As far as I know, the ONLY plugin that will not work is the extracheats.dll, since .dll is not a Mac recognized file type.

It should also be noted that your buildings will not have night lights on the Mac, since there was never a patch released for that. There is a way to manually do it using iLive Reader, but it is a bit of a pain in the rear end. Also, as far as I know, you could have used the old NAM files from your PC with no problem. The only difference between the windows dl and the mac dl is the lack of an .exe installer.
