chasespncr: Alright, you are now owner of the San Paso Bank.  And, like I said, Hispanic isn't a race, it is an ethnicity, so it is something you kinda overlooked

chrissc94: No, Hispanics were counted among the population, but Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race.  And, I'm glad you like this CJ

ironicepitome: The Drunken Chico Saloon it is!

N106: #$$% you- wait a minute.... IM TALKING TO MYSELF AGAIN!!!!

Hawkeye9: Alright, that's good!  To answer your question, you can request a business, and one similar to the request may be for sale.

gabetx: It is my duty to advertise as many businesses as possible on walk-alongs.  And, you no longer have to wait for more, because next update is more!

    Evillions: Yes, I am!

    Update 4: Jones Ranch

Jones Ranch has opened, and is currently the biggest ranch in the San Paso Basin.  Here is a view of the Jones Ranch.

Here is the entrance to the ranch.

    Here is the rancher's house.

A farm had been planted on the ranch.

A not that great photograph of cows.

Here's the pond on the ranch.

    In other news...

A large new house has been constructed about a block away from the schoolhouse.  The two-story structure is the first in San Paso to be constructed with Victorian Architecture.  It is also the largest home in the town, and has been called a mansion by many residents of the town.

    largestprivatehome.jpg

    Sponsorship needed

With only 2 years left in office as mayor before I just become a city planner, I've decided that a mayor's house is needed.  I've thought up two potential sites.  To sponsor, all you have to do is select a site you like ans state that you will sponsor the house if it is on that site.

    Site #1

This location is not that aesthetically appealing, and will ultimately end up in the heart of the city as it grows.  However, it is by town for now, allowing for easy transportation.  And, there are no terrain difficulties.

    site2q.jpg

    Site #2

This location is across the San Paso River from San Paso, which will make a bridge necessary.  Also, it has some sloping terrain.  The area is beautiful, and will not end up deep in the city for a while.

They changed that for the 2010 Census. Doesn't matter what race you try to "identify" with, if your Hispanic, your Hispanic. Guess they don't want them to think they're white?

Just combed through all of your updates. They're great! I think an interactive CJ will work for you. You'll be forced to reconcile with people before you just do something. Anyway, did you terraform the region or is it a download? I'd love to have it either way, since you always find the best regions.

Nice to see the progress.... for some reason I'm picturing Back to the Future movies and how Hill Valley, or whatever that town was called, starting as a wild west town, but eventually became a contrived suburban town, etc. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

Because chasespncr sponsored first, we'll go with site 1. However, ironicepitome's new company, Norwell-Hucks, and the Drunken Chico Hotel, are going to appear next update. Sorry, ironicepitome, but I have to settle the sponsorship thing by the time I'm playing Sim City 4 to get photos for the update.

chasespncr: Alright, your sponsorship is appreciated

xChicago: Lets just drop this topic.  I'll just state hispanics as a different race next census, instead of going with "hispanic of any race".  Anyways, yes, I hope that this CJ lasts, and I'm definately more obligated.  The region is a download.  And, the reason I get the best regions is because I'm picky.

ironicepitome: The hotel has been built, and Norwell-Hucks has offices

dfnva: I've never seen the Back to the Future movies.  And, I've got half of a plan for where this CJ goes.

N106: You know, I've really got to learn to stop talking to myself

    Update 5: Business Growth

The last 4 years has seen the biggest business growth to ever be seen in San Paso.  Downtown has grown from 6 businesses to 16 businesses.  10 businesses have opened in 4 years.  Ultimately, population growth remains slow, with 1,300 people living in San Paso.  About 100 people move in each year.  A new house goes up every couple of weeks.

Here is a view of downtown now.

    downtownd.jpg

ironicepitome has made some recent business expansions.  He now is the proud owner of the Drunken Chico Hotel, which is the most luxurious hotel in San Paso (and the only hotel in San Paso)

    ironicepitomeshotel.jpg

His other new business will be mentioned later this update.

Also, thanks to sponsorship from chasespncr, I have constructed a new mayor's house in site 1.  The illustrious estate will be home to the next mayor.

    mayoralestate.jpg

Also, another large new Victorian house has been constructed.

    largesthouse.jpg

    Business opportunity

While at first, it may appear like there are three businesses available, only the business on the right is available.  The business on the street corner is the offices of the San Paso Weekly Herald, which is my plan once my term as mayor expires next year.  The center business is home to Norwell-Hucks, a business owned by ironicepitome.  The available business is a real estate agency.
