Yeah, considering the huge number of different artists out there, this really would have been better without a poll. Especially since nearly all the bands listed in the poll are of the rock/punk persuasion. Not everyone is a fan of that sort of music, believe it or not.

Frankly i listen to everything i have Rammstein, Cinderalla, Eminem, Dr.Dre, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, U2, Pink Floyd, Sting, Vivaldi, W.A.S.P , White Lion, Bon Jovi, Yo-Yo Ma

It's interesting.

Classical composers all wrote music. Nameless orchestras played it, and the composer got all the credit.

Many modern artists only play music. Nameless composers write it, and the band gets all the credit.

So, arguably, by modern definition, the likes of Bach and Haydin were not artists, the orchestras playing the music they composed were/are.

I can't vote in this poll - my favorite group (and it's not a band, per se) is not listed. Though I wouldn't expect it to be.

"Media Ventures" (now "Remote Control Productions"), founded by Hans Zimmer, is the source of most (but not quite all) of my music; I only tend to like film scores. Zimmer and his coworkers (Jablonsky, Badelt, Rabin, Mancina, etc.) are by far my favorites.
