new to simtropolis, help

i downloaded some bat's and some of them look messed up and have bugs in them, once I downloaded a BAT and only the lot appears not the building  (just a few small parts of it) it has a four star rating and no one is complaining about bugs can anyone tell me why this is happining?

Did you get all the dependencies that were listed with the files? (they are little files that allow a building to be shown right)

downloaded a dependency once still dissapeared, also buildings I download are shown as packages saying simcity.com when I place them in my city.

You may need the maxis buildings as props packs 1 and 2. You can get them from the SimCity 4 site. They may be on the Stex, but I wouldn't know where.

do you need to register to download it because when I registered i didn't get an activation email from them in months

Yeah the Main sim city 4 site is terrible. But you definatly have a dependancy problem. Make sure you have every single file listed in the download or it wont show up.

I placed one of my BAT's in my city's they are nothing but boxes stamped with the URL simcity.com does that have to do with dependency?

Yes, you need the model file that is associated with that lot.
