Weird Roundabout

Hi, ?'m having problems with the one way roundabout. I don't know why when I try to make one and connected it with roads, zebra crosses appear and destroy in part the roundabout. Another problem is that traffic doesn't go through the roundabout.

I have the last NAM installed and it did work fine before I deleted everything on my computer a few weeks ago.

When you build a onewayroad roundabout, you have to drag it in a counterclockwise (or clockwise if your game is lefthand drive) direction. The issue is that the game runs onewayroad paths in a certain direction, and if you run it backwards the paths will not line up.

To connect roads, streets, etc to it, you drag the network to the center tile of the side. But do not drag into the center. Just into the outer ring.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

It happens only with streets and roads, no matter the way of the roundabout. Also if I do what you say it continues happening, starting from one side of the roundabout leaving the center free. What I don't understand is why it works for one way roads but not for normal roads

If you ever ridden in a roundabout all the traffic flows one way. To have traffic going both ways in a roundabout would be fruitless. How would traffic on the inside lane get out, if the outside line had heavy traffic? You can connect normal roads to the "one way roundabout".

    Two tings:

first, possibly you could provide a picture of your faulty roundabout?

second, have you tried to display the path line. You can do this if you have the "extra cheats plugin" installed (look for it on the stex). Then, CTRL-X will bring up a popup --> right-click in that popup --> select "DrawPaths" --> this will draw the path lines. SO you easylie can discover path problems.

Here are three pictures taken from the game. Each one is a different conexion between a rounabout and the different typoes of roads. In two of them you can see zebra crossings, which doesn't allow traffic trough.

    Someone knows why this happens?

Is the first time that I upload picture so if there is any problem please tell me and I'll try to upload them again.

Actually you can drag the roundabout with the standard road and street icons as well.. they automaticallly conver to ONE WAY circles.. you don't have to use the ONE WAY ROADS.. the graphics is slightly fancier for the circle drawn with the oneway road though if you leave a "hole" in the middle (ie 3x3 rather than 2x2) At least that is my casual observation.. I've not made a point to research into it

    espaolito91,

thats interresting ... if I draw the one-way-roundabout, it works out fine. So most likely this problem is specific for your installtion. The only way to get your result is dragging the road to the inner part of the roundabout.

However, that should not affect your traffic, as you can see in the follwoing picture: the path-lines are continuing even at the "broken" part:

Sorry. so far I don't know what the reason for that bug could be ..?

Weird. Try uninstalling NAM completely and do a fresh reinstall and make sure the roundabout options are checked.

I'll try that. About traffic, it may look like its works correctly but when I upgrade a roadcross into a roundabout the congestion level falls from red to green. Normally it changes to orange. Also if you are drving a car in car driving mode, it dissapears when it arrives to the roundabout. I don't know. I'll try what "pagenotfound" says and we'll see.
