Stupidity Should Always be Painful

the only thing that helps me maintain my slender grip on reality is the friendship I share with my collection of singing potatoes.

Good to see his family get closure, and glad to know he didn't suffer in one of Saddam's dungeons.

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

I'm glad his remains were found, I bet the family must be so glad that they can finally lay him to rest properly.

As sad as it is it bury a loved one, it is better than not knowing if he is alive somewhere being tortured.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

The first victim of the First Gulf War has been accounted for, recovered, and is no longer listed as missing. This is a good thing, and as others have said, it brings closure to family, friends, and other comrades in arms.
