Hi there

I purcased SC4 shortly after release way back when, It didn't work on my then PC, kept crashing, graphics were rubbish. In the end I traded it in.

I see the deluxe version is only £9.99 in the shops, However whilst this is great value it will be £9.99 wasted if it won't work on my current PC.

Specs are:

Processor (CPU)

 Intel® Core™2 Duo E6850 (2 X 3.00GHz) 1333MHz FSB/4MB L2 Cache

Memory (RAM)

 4096 MB CORSAIR DDR2 667MHz - LIFETIME WARRANTY! (4x1GB)

Motherboard

 ASUS® P5N32-E SLI+: Quad-core CPU Ready, NVIDIA® Dual X16 SLI

Operating Systems

Windows Vista & XP dual boot

Memory - 1st Hard Disk

500GB SERIAL ATA II HARD DRIVE WITH 16MB CACHE (7200rpm)

1st CD/DVD Drive

 20x DVD±RW/RAM/Dual Layer + Lightscribe (48 x CD-RW)

Graphics Card

 640MB GEFORCE 8800GTS PCI Express + DVI + TV-OUT

Sound Card

 Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeMusic 7.1

Any advice most welcome, From what I gather dual core could be a problem as could the graphics card.

Is it likely to look okay or blotchy graphics?

it'll be fine, SC4 doesnt really mind multi-core PC's it should throw a fit, however if it does, you can always keep it on "Core0"

seems to run fine on my Quad Core Q6600 2.gif

EDIT: The graphics will be fine, it runs fine on my 8800GTS 640MB. leave it on hardware unless theres a problem
