City Update 18.1:

 

I've been focused mostly on the 248 project this weekend, but wanted to let everyone know that i was able to get some other work on Crystal Junction compelete as well.

 

The city is still for the most part expanding ever westward, with expasion in the east limited to Topaz canyon. The majority of growth is starting to concentrate in a district in West Crystal Junction called Asp Heights, which has grown in a few years from 0 to over 6,000.

 

I'll be posting a newspaper update later on today.

 

Here is a pic of the most complicated intersection in Crystal Junction called the Middle Junction.

The idea of posting a pic of the intersection then freeway signs was inspired from JoeXcool's idea of doing it on his city journal, so I'd like to give him credit for it.

Anyway, this city is beautiful and unique. However, it seems as you have found SignMaker's only downfall. It only allows certain symbols in certain area or it changes the font. Still, I think it helps for visualisation of the highway and I am thankful that my CJ was the inspiration. I can't wait to see the next update!

Amazing white shark. I truly enjoy this journal almost as much as I enjoy building my own cities. I would have to say however, it might be rather scary to live on such a cliff. Not a place for the young children.

i remember when Crystal Junction was just a small town on the edge of a canyon but now its turned into a huge metropolis that has a downtown with skyscrapers and suburbs with small low income families...

ive always loved this journal and its come out great i cant wait to see what comes up next

btw can we see a transportation pic because it looks [from the region view] that you have a a complex system of avenues and then the main highways

Thanks for all of the comments guys. I will be posting some downtown pics later on this weekend after i've done some development there. Been focusing so much on the surronding suburbs that downtown has changed very little since the last pics I posted of it.

But for all you people waiting Crystal Junction is soon going to be growing upward, and upward quite a bit.

I do have some transportation pics for you megaman. I try to incoperate an extensive system of avenues, because a lot of real life cities even small towns have a lot of them.

I think Crystal Junction could be pretty good, but it would cost alot for away games, seeing that your on another planet!

Midland looks awesome and its great that Crystal Junction doesnt have nuclear power anymore...

btw where is that mile track in midland park?? or is it there but because its not in sc4 it doesnt show up??

Your citiznes must love having no nuclear power and I see today in Crystal Junction, there's an extreme heat advisory. Any way, you region map is just brilliant especially the crater, the mesa's, and the mountains.

Answers to questions.

Llama_sim: midland is located just north of Graffton and Quartz City, along the southern edge of the Middle Crystal Canyon.

Your_adress_here: I've had my Ridge Point region asked to join before, I would like to join, but i dont have the time to manage both a city, my large number of working hours a week and a soccer legaue

thatmonkey sim: the track is the trail you see winding arround the edge of the park. i like to think of sc4 maps as being in miles rather then kilometers since it makes everything more realistic is scale. The trail straightened out is about the lenght of a small map or 1 mile.
